How does Scrubmarine work?
The Scrubmarine system consists of a lightweight scrubbing head that includes a mechanically driven rotating brush and a fish-eye camera, a telescopic handle, a high-output pump unit as well as flexible suction and discharge hoses and coarse and fine filter units.
Once started the Scrubmarine scrubbing head will literally suck itself onto a hull so that the spinning brush can do its job. Incorporating a chain belt that bends in one direction to help trace hull curvature, the head is supported by pivoted joints that allows it to be manipulated to almost any angle. Moreover, the integrated camera makes it possible to follow the whole operation on a monitor from the shore. It's so quick and easy!
During a first season with Scrubmarine, it will simply remove self-abrading antifouling so it can be replaced by the new durable hard antifouling for subsequent seasons.
